anyone tell me what this is. All I know is it's a 2 bottom and was told it is a "high beam" plow.

| I HAVE NO IDEA BUT I HAVE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE IT USED TO BE A 3 BOTTOM, STILL HAS THE ARM TO ATTACH ANOTHER BOTTOM. ALL KNOW IT'S SOME TYPE OF RESET PLOW. |

this model of plow will trip if you hit a rock or a tree root and when it trips you stop and back up and reset and go again instead of breaking one of the two bolts on the other style plows that has soft shear bolts that will break ------------- a member of hendricks county antique tractor and machinery association club. |

That trip mechanism is for a 9000, not an 80 series unless very late. Like after January 1965. Then the parts book says for 60 and 80 series plows. The frame is closer to an 80 than a 9000 because my book doesn't show a 9000 smaller than 4 bottoms. I repeat, the plow bottoms do NOT identify the plow frame. They were sold separately and have their own book. To identify the plow bottoms you will need to find a number on frog, moldboard, or share and in some families like 371, 372, and 373 only the moldboard is different to identify the plow bottom they share other parts like frog and share and then the same landsides can be fit to nearly all bottoms and nearly all bottoms can be fit to any plow frame. The plow bottoms pictures are shown looking at the frog with the play laying on the landside. Gerald J. |

Is there a ID mark on the plow its self that I can look for?? I know it has the small AC emblem you can see in the one picture up on the front of the plow and on the back frame is a "shiney" for lack of a better term decal that is listing patent numbers. It reminds me of polished tin foil. I think is measures out at a 16" bottom. What are they worth??

I've not seen any but I've not looked at a bunch of unrestored plows. There is a chance of there being part numbers on any of the major parts, but not on hardware. And sometimes parts are unique to a particular plow frame and model. Without numbers on plow frame parts, either model or part numbers the only ID is by the criteria I've been using, comparing to the illustrations in the parts catalog. Gerald J. |
