Does anyone happen to know what the outer diameter of the pto pulley on a A/C Model B? I thought my C had one and when I put my sickle bar mower on I just purchased from Eldon I noticed that it didnt have one. I can build one I have the lathe to center it I just need the outer diameter so I can get the right pulley It is a C style belt. I have also studied pictures of the pulley on the internet and have notices its slightly larger on the drive than the driven. Thanks to all who help Dan & Dawn Pignotti Kellogg idaho

Dan the original is made up of two halves bolted together, then bolted to a splined hub that clamps to the pto. Email me if you want a pic of it.

Wait, I don't understand. " two halves bolted together, then bolted to a splined hub that clamps to the pto." Eldon, that doesn't sound like the PTO pulley on either my B or C.
Are we talking about the one that comes out the side of the PTO/hydraulic pump unit?

No, they are talking about the vee belt pulley for the mounted sickle mower.

It was made that way so you could adjust the speed it had shims between the plates take some out - made the belt run more to the top of the pulley [ faster]  - put some in - made the belt run deeper in the pulley [ slower]   to adjust the belt tension remove  or add flat washers between mower frame  and  the drawbar  the mower frame sitbars on top of the draw

Dandawn79:  Do you want me to rummage through my AC library to see if I can find the B mower parts manual.  Maybe could send you a diagram from the manual that would help if you plan to machine something in your lathe.  Let me know.  Good luck with this.  Also, have  one like Steve's picture shows which I could mic out if you need measurements.  - Orangeman

What I did was ordered a 10 inch pulley that accepted a C style belt. The belt that is original is a C-51.Then I ordered a hub that was 1 3/8 x 6 spline. This will not be at all adjustable but functional it will be the ratio that it is with a 10inch driver with a 8? inch driven. the only machine work I have to do is cut the inner diameter of the pulley to around 2 inch to accept the 2 inch hub. This is all an experiment and hope it works since these original pulleys are scarce. Thanks for all the help Dan

I would think a 2 piece Browing pulley would work.

should work gread dan.. My sickle was just about scrap when i got it 5 years ago. Cleaned it up and  never have adjusted the 10 inch diameter pulley. All i do is raise or lower the two arms on the drawbar to tighten the belt. Use engine speed to control the sickle. Dont see that a 10% change in diameter will effect what i do much. Use it 3 times a year for couple hours to mow the road sides.
