Seems odd to start no reserve bids at $100 on $100,000 equipment.....

Bought a dozer a couple of months ago from the Auction.I feel no one is going to leave themselves totally unprotected, so it doesn't take long before the selling price will be close to the value of the machine.

It would be nice if they had an area where you could see what past auctions brought....

I would figure it works like most equipment consignment auctions. The owner will bid it up himself to the price he wants for it if it's going too cheap. This happens all the time on live auctions so I would assume that's the case.

I've seen some insanely low starting prices on the Auction Time site. You know nobody's going to sell the item for that if nobody bids.

If your a registered bidder you can veiw past auction results and I was told by someone from auctiontime that the seller can't bid stuff up.  Matter of fact the last time I bid the seller got caught by auctiontime bidding against me and the bidding got peeled back to my last bid.

Yes, they say that at the live auctions too but it happens pretty often. If I'm selling a item all I have to do is get my buddy to run the price up. I'm not saying it happens on Auction Time but it would be easy enough to do.

I looked at a combine on there.  It started at 50,000 and went to 85,000 or something like that.  I saw it first on tractorhouse so I went back there and after it was "sold" at the auction it was back at the same dealers lot for $95,000.  So, I figure they just bid themselves up so I don't really go there much.
