| OK guys I have a Gemmer steering box on my 1940 model B . need the lower bearing but am not going to buy 600 bucks for the bearing so can I put a Ross steering unit on it and it work thanks Tim |

You may have to change everything between the steering wheel and drag link, including the tool box because it's all different part #'s. $600. ?? I would think there are other possibilities, or i would put a bronze bushing in before i paid that. Yes the boxes are interchangeable, but you need to keep the original drop arm that goes to the steering link. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| I do not have a tool box for the tractor yet that was one of the issue I had I didn't want to get one tool box then have to get the other one thanks for the input Tim |

The tool box for the Gemmer has the larger opening so putting on a ross would not be a problem. I make my own tool boxes. I took old rusted ones and flattened them out for patterns.  |

| I went to a bearing supply and bought the bearing for about $30.00. We looked it up in the Timken book. I don't know where your looking. but I qould be looking elsewhere. I had to replace both bearings and the races. Bob |
