Got in our 7000 maroon belly and the clutch was 4 inches lower than it was suppose to be and pushed it in shifted into gear and as soon as i tried to let out some it caught and took off so I pulled the wagon of corn to the bin up hill with no problems until it came time to stop and it didn't disengage with the pedal to the floor so I had to kill the tractor to stop. The pedal is not doing anything and is staying near the floor. Anyone know what this might be? I haven't got to look it over real good but hoping maybe its the springs in the linkage behind the fuel tank but haven't dropped the tank to see, or does this sound internal?

Could be the ball socket attached to the clutch pedal under the floor...have someoine operate the pedal and if everything is moving outside, must be the throwout brg ate it's way thru the fingers....can see that from underneath after removing the shield...

Well Drallis I tried to PM you the other day but said your inbox was full but if you see this I have another question, or anyone could answer for that matter.I worked the pedal manually like you said and the rod that comes from under the floor to activate the clutch wasn't moving so I was going to drop the tank to look at what you said under the floor, but we didn't have to have the tractor so I just drove it out of the way and parked it. then a week later after we got done combining I went to pull it in the shed and it started right up but wouldn't move and while messing with the pedal notice that the steering wasn't working or the 3 point so basically no hydraulics. So now what do you think is going on considering everything was working except couldn't stop with the clutch when I parked it and now it has no hydraulics.

Try bleeding your hydraulic pump.  It could be something separate, like a hole in the suction elbow at the pump or a bad doughnut gasket down by the sump.  It shouldn't be related to the clutch, as the pump is engine driven on these tractors.  However, you need hydraulic pressure to move because of the wet clutch pack for the 3spd powershift ranges.

I am having problems with my 7000 clutch
sometimes the pedal won't go in.
If I rev it up then it seams to go in.

Red belly 7000?  If so, take off the inspection plate on the bottom and check the throwout bearing and fingers.  Have someone work the clutch pedal a could of times (WITHOUT THE TRACTOR RUNNING!) while you are under there and see if you can tell anything.  Is the pedal not going down all the way, or just the clutch not always releasing when it is down?  It could also be the splines rusty on the disc or the linkage to the throwout bearing lever.

Thanks for your input.
It is a red belly 7000. I bought it 4 weeks ago and haven't used it yet.
I don't know how long it sat on the lot.
When the clutch pedal goes in it works great.
Do u think I can spray grease on the spline shaft on the clutch inside
I sprayed W-D40 but don't know if it will last.
Best of my knowledge it looks good inside
If it was the throw-out bearing would it be hard to put it in gear (grind)???Allis are new to me I have always had John Deere & IH

Ours grinds quite a bit, has as long as I can remember but you kind of learn tricks around it and sometimes it doesn't like to go in gear unless you start to completely let off the clutch.

On the one we bought new; we had a new clutch put in at the same dealer after 5000 hours.   we had trouble from that day on with shifting.   it got much worse, the former dealer had went out of business, so we took it to our servicing dealer.   They said the wrong type of clutch was installed!   They fixed it and we didn't have one bit of problems, after that!

I've broken the cable on my clutch a couple times and it acted just like your first post.

It almost sounds like either a linkage is seizing up or the throwout bearing holder is not sliding along the sleeve inside the bell housing.  Can you get a helper to push the pedal down while you look through the inspection hole and see what isn't moving or what is binding?  That linkage also goes to your transmission brake, but that shouldn't be until the last 2 inches of pedal travel or so, and it is all on a spring system, so I don't see how it could actually stop your pedal from moving.  You may also check to see if your cab has shifted from bad cab mounts maybe causing the linkage to bind up.
