I guess I wasn't talking about bending a frame, I was just thinking of folding that thing up, but your point would seem to hold true there as well, depending on how it was plumbed. I'm guessing it has some type of ball-valve to prevent this, atleast, I hope it does lol. It's claimed it will pull 40 ft of plows, in fifth gear but thats all I know about it

Nice unit! It was built and is owned by Don Dufner of Buxton, ND. Have seen it in action at the Rollag, MN show. He built it in 1994 and it was his main tractor for several years on his 3000 acre farm. Rear tractor has an engine shut off switch to kill the engine in case it gets turned to short. This takes care of jack knifing and getting pushed around. Don has built a lot of tandem and triple tractors in the last 50 years. He will take time to talk to any one and share information. I believe there are videos on You Tube of this tractor in action at the Rollag show. I have some pictures from the 2008 Rollag show of Don plowing with the "830" Special but don't know how to post them.

Even though I do appreciate the guy's ingenuity and hard work for building this thing I would still have to agree with Mack and RFDeere for all practical purposes. But it does make a great conversation piece.JP |

That it does! I may be somewhat bias, due to my soft spot of JD because grandpa restored a 43 B as my first puller, but like I said, Deere or not, that thing is cool. and I'd love to see it in person.

The late JD 2 cylinder tractors set records for fuel economy. Forgotten in the new generation JD that tended to be hungry. Beat only in the last decade. Gerald J. |

| The diesel 2cyl's maybe good on fuel but when my brother-in-laws 60 gas was broke down and he used my wd to farm that year with a 45 crank and overbore with big manifold and carb it still used about half the fuel as the deere. He couldn't believe it and I still rub it in 10 years later. |

The gas two-cylinders were not known for being good on fuel.........the two-cylinder diesels were. The 720 diesel held the fuel economy record for a long time after they didn't even make them anymore. |
