will a n 438 corn head from a r42  fit a m2 i dont think so but  got to check its a good deal

I would be surprised.  I bought an n/r series head thinking I could make it work on my L/M combines.  The width problem seems like it could be overcome, but the height of the hole for the throat is something like 8 inches different from the N6 header I bought to my L/M headers.  If it has the adjustable rows like the older corn heads do, you could probably take each unit off and put it on your frame.
