In addition tol the reasons given above for the D15, add access to the drivers seat and fuel usage.

The D-15 Series II is probably one of the most unappreciated tractors.  I traded in a WD-45 on a D-15 series II with PS and factory 3 point.  It is simply a great tractor.  If you can find one of these you definitely want to nab it.  Going orange is going great!!

 I agree with EP.

I think what gets lost over time is the fact that a WD45 was designed to be a fileld horse with mounted machinery. In was meant to be the farms big tractor. Years later when the D15 hit the market. It was aimed at being the field horse on a smaller farm but yet versatile enough to be the secodary backup on the big farms to handle chore jobs and field work if necesarry. Fast forward 40 years. The market for that size of tractor demands the machine needs to have utility features, new model or antique model. The WD45 aint a utilility machine. The operator station was designed around mounted equipment.  The D15 is a utility machine, because it was desinged to be.

Here's another vote for the D15.  Power director is great when using a snow blower!
