Glenn, I was thinking of you when I wrote this note to Kim. Is there anyone that reads these messages? Is there anyone that cares if the numbers are right or wrong on your serial number list? The Allis Chalmers WC list is all messed up for the first few years and I know for a fact several people have written to notify you of this. I am one who has written before. 28, 1933 WC s were produced. 1934 s went from number 29 to number 3126. I can supply you with the rest of the correct numbers, if anybody cares to change them. According to Waukeshaw's records, which are very good by the way, they sent 24 engines to Allis Chalmers for use in the "W" tractor. There were also some "working blueprints" so we know they were probably cast and used, for flywheel and bell housing adaptations for a Hercules engine for the "W" tractor. Imagine what one of these units would be worth? ------------- Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives. |

And add the PTO that ran off the belt pulley instead of under the trans and the waukesha WC boys would be relegated to the second row back,, LOL
That serial number referance on YT has been wrong so long, at least 1999 that I am aware of, that I have gotten very used to NOT using it. And likely still wont out of habit.

I'd like to see one of em Ted. I've been kicking my self for years for not inquiring about a 4 spoke steering wheel WC I saw for sale about 15 years ago. They guy said it had a notch cut in the frame, but no engine. The rest of the tractor looked like it had sat out for 50 years but now I have an idea it might have been a 33 and I think it got scrapped out.
