Does anyone have a rough idea of the weight of a 426, like one from an 8070?

-------------
People say internal combustion engines are inefficient. When they say that, it's obvious to me they were never around a horse

Id say about 1500 to 1700 with everything. The crank alone is 175.

I hauled one out of a L2 in the back of a 1/2 ton pickup.  Guess it was overloaded a little

You had half a load. I haul 3000 lbs in my 94 chevy half ton on a pretty regular basis.

I was thinking about installing one in a pickup until I found out they weigh 2,100 lbs.  At least thats the shipping weight a guy selling a 426 engine on ebay quoted me.  I was hoping it would be about the same weight as my Cummins 6.7, well no way, the 426 is 1,000 lbs more.
