i just got a 190xt with a model 500 loader on it. it works great and is weld free and not bent. any ideas what its worth. was wondering if its worth selling or just take it off and keep it just incase i need it or if i sell the tractor down the road?

We've been looking for a 500 loader mounted on a 190/200 but I'm in Missouri. That loader on a 190 is a good unit. There was one sold last year in central Mo, brought $2300, very good condition.

I have an AC 500 loader mounted on a 1967 AC One-Seventy gas tractor. No cracks, no welds, and is a very heavy duty loader. The 4 pivots; 2 where the loader arms bolt to the tractors mounting frame and 2 where the bucket mounts to the loader arms are worn. These pivots are cast pieces welded into the loader arms. They contain a greaseable bushing inside for better wear. My pivot assemblies on the loader are actually stretch out of round from the previous owner using it to lift big round bales. I think a good welder/fabricator can rebuild or replace these pivots if needed. The 500 is a very strong loader.

We had one on a 190XT. my brother was going down the road and tipped the bucket to dump snow out, he didnt have the arms high enough and caught the bucket teeth on the road bed, bout threw him off the front!! It flexed the loader so badly that it broke the bottom out of one of the batteries in the battery box. It didnt twist the loader, was still straight, if fact when the 190 got traded for the ole IH 1456, the 500 loader got mounted on it. The only thing I didnt like was it was not a quick attach loader, but it was tougher than nails!!!
