Needing a battery tray for a D17IV gasser that sat for a number of years and the battery tray is pretty much toast.
Will a tray from the SI through SIV all be the same on the gas units?
Just don't want to buy one that does not fit as this is my first 17.
Thanks

According to my parts book from Allis, all D-17s from s/n 1001 through s/n 75001 gas had the same battery tray.  Diesel of course was ddifferent

I think Bill Deppe has the tray bottoms that you can weld in. Or at least he had one that I got for a black bar D-17.  Dave.

Thanks guys; I'll have to take another look and see if there is anything left to weld a new bottom to as the old batterry in it ate it up pretty bad.
Dave,
Checkin dates with my buddy and currently getting my small trailer ready for the trip.
Measured up the D19D in NY a couple weeks ago and my dad has moved the wheels in so it will fit on my trailer when I meet the fella that will be hauling it down.
Also checked over the Terra Tiger that I had my brother pick up near Cooperstown and a new set of tires will be installed soon. The little ones in the family will have a blast with the old TT. D12 should be headed in for paint down here in Texas soon as well.
Pole barn will be full of A-C for sure and the recent 190XTIII with cab will have to stay outside for now.
I now what folks mean by "Orange Fever", and I need to stop!
