I've decided to add a paypal donate button at the bottom of the forum pages.  We occasionally get questions about "how to support the site", but not everyone needs a manual, toy, or yet another hat.  There are expenses and a good deal of time invested in maintaining the forum.  If you enjoy the forum or find it useful, a couple bucks now and then would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Darin Stratton

Darin, this is the best site ever.  Thanks for the "donate" button.  I think it is only right that we help maintain this site.

hey darin -
i listen to npr pledge drives saying "support your best source of useful information".  they have a point.  so now whenever i hear them start on their twice a year pledge drives i'll be reminded to hit the donate button on this site to continue my support of the most amazing source of information i need that i've ever encountered.
profound thanks for making this happen.

Just made a donation. I was going to donate more..but...I too would like to see the political section either eliminated or another political section added for those for whom reason prevails.  The reactionary commentary often found in the political section just cheapens the whole site and I find myself visiting it less and less.  Your site has turned into a place where angry old white men come to vent... and it isn't a pretty "site".

longmeadow, coulodn't agree more. I have visited twice and both times left in disgust and in a very foul mood. That crap can go somewhere else, anywhere else except an otherwise very positive forum.
