I asked about replacing my series IV d17 "knocking" gas engine with a 262 gas and the consensus was to keep the present engine.  However, if I'm going to overhaul it what can I do to increase the horsepower?

Overhaul would include new pistons, sleeves and rings. Get an OEM AGCO set from a 170 or 175 which is the same bore and higher compression and will not be hard on gasoline use as compared to overbore kits.
