Can the cone that the shifter ball sits in be replaced?
If it does, who has it? I looked on the Agco parts site awhile back and couldn't find it seperately or a part#.

The shifter will fall in if I don't hold my mouth just right while shifting. Another problem?

Fixxer. Sounds look your shifter is worn at the trans end. Use the search at the top of the page .Type in  Worn wd shifter, and it'll take you to posts that show you how to build up your shifter end. Or do as I did ,go to Agco allis dealer and order a new shifter. Its after market but it works well. $125. or so. Hope this helps    Tim from southern OK

It is a new shifter with a new slide block.
So I'm guessing I need another shift tower.

Wow, never heard of a shift tower wearing so badly that it would allow the shifter to
slip down inside of it!

The shift tower is almost always the main reason for the problem. common thoght always is that the lever is the problem but the cup in the shift tower always gets worn so far down that the geometry changes to the point that the shift lever can come right out the front of the slots in the shift rails. This along with a worn lever only makes the problem worse. So as a very good start I would get that NOS shift tower from Norm and go from there
