What would cause the lift on 6060 to be jerky? It does not operate smooth but jerks when you move lever.

Perhaps changing all hydraulic oil is in order ?

bought it used, but the former owner bought it new and was famous for maintaining his equipment. The fluid is very clean. I think I will change the filter and see if that changes anything. Thought there might be an adjustment. Now that I think of it, the hydraulic hookups are jerky and very fast acting also.

It has cable operated hydraulics like my 6080. It probably has rust or crud in the linkage. I'd lubricate it really good then give it a try.

The levers operate smoothly after being lubricated, but the hydraulics seem to operate so quick that it jerks the whole tractor when raising the brush cutter.

I knew it was there somewhere, just something you never use so I forgot where it was.
Let us know if it resolves your issue.

I know what you're talking about. Which would make it react slower, pushed down or pulled up?

Pull up for less sensitivity, push down for more. I assume yours must be pushed all the way down?
