I picked up a 1955 WD-45, and I was told the shifter falls out of gear.  It currently is out of the tractor, can some one build this up for me or have a good one for sale?

They are easy to build up. Either weld or braze the end that looks kinda like a ball on the sides. Then file or grind both sides down to about 5/16ths of an inch,( I use a 5/16 wrench for a measure). This should be enough to help. You might have to go to 3/8 inch, but usually I don't
