Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about these compressors?  I need a new one for the  shop and kind of like the looks of them and there value compared to others.  Any positive or negative comments are appreciated.

I seen a John Wayne movie the other evening and Duke was calling his Indian friend Puma. It would be safe to say the Indians must be in favor of them, at least the Apaches.

Like most of the low cost or home/shop units the motors are not true HP rate but a special rated motor that is suppose to develop equivalent HP rate.
A 3 or 5 Hp motor will not have a 5/8 " output shaft or other such small size. Most are capacitor start/cap run motors called special duty motors.

I got a nice chuckle from that one.

I have had one for 5 years and no issues. Mine's a 13 hp honda powered , 30 gall. 24 cfm. I mounted to the floor of a H@H utility trailer, its nice to have a big portable comp. North Central Air is the dealer that I bought it from, great people! After the engine and comp. broke in, I changed the comp.oil to Amsoil syn. and Mobil 1 in the honda, will start and run in the coldest temps., HTH, Mike

I have a 110V dual cylinder (single stage).  I bought it because it is very quiet.  I don't need a lot of air so it's perfect, you can hold a conversation right next to it when it is running.  About 6 years now and no problems whatsoever.

I bought one (3 hp) for the garage at home, and ended up using it way more than anticipated and it has worked out well. Quiet and cheap.
