Hi all. Last week I had a SN vin year ? and thanks to A-C (unofficial) members we figured it to be a 1940. Someone gave it to me and every thing is there. Has a hydra loader. It hasn't run for a couple years. Prior owner left the exhaust flap off  the vertical  riser. Of course, internal engine saturated, seezed, bent push rod and valve etc. Anyway, I pulled the oil pan and it has minimal oxidation on lower end components. I think the water sitting on pistons in the cyl. some how bled by rings and rusted them to cyl. wall?  I have filled the entire block w/ oil and also have the oil sitting on top of pistons. Looks like I'll keep. fix and use my little B, Why would you think the p-rod and valve bent? So, I'm tearing down the motor and fixing.  Would welcome any info on best place to shop for parts.

Welcome to the forum! This is the greatest place to find information and knowledge on AC tractors there is! what I have found that works for releasing stuck pistons is 50/50 ATF/Acetone mix. Just sent you a PM.

Maybe the parts got bent at some point if someone tried to pull the tractor and drop the clutch to break the engine free. Just a guess.

Do you think it possible, that if I can un-stuck the lower end, maybe could get by with only replacing one p-rod and one valve? Baring, the rest of p-rods are really straight?
Miles, I notice you have CO/Ks as your local. What part of KS?
Oh ya, the guy I got B from said he tried to pull start a couple years ago. Oh well.

Once it's busted loose you should be able to check all the parts over and just replace what you need. Should be able to find plenty of used B parts from guys on here.
