This looks to be an early model IU-1 with a Continental engine. As far as I know only industral models had mufflers. You can see the tail pipe attached to the radiator. I say early model because of the Allis Chalmers name casted on the side of the rad and the use of steel wheels. it isn,t an industrial u. I havn't look at the farm but I think the 3 bolt pattern is the same on the manifold and the elbow can be turn. thxchuck ------------- still looking for the holy grail of Allis |

| It is my opinion that the muffler set up is home made, because the owner was afraid of the original exhaust shooting out on top of the carburetor. I personally have seen carbon sparks shoot out onto the carb. Not all carbs are tight, and dry. Some may leak gas. Dave. |
