| There is a 220 mechanical front wheel drive for sale in my neck of the woods. It is advertised as second owner 3200 hours, it has a factory cab, air,heat. It has big singles outback.Good news is it does not look too bad. Bad news is dude is asking $35000 CAD. and seems to feel that museums will be interested. I was not aware that any of these tractors came with factory cab (the same as a 200 factory cab). I would love to have it but its about $33000 too rich for me. No 220 FWA came with LaPorte cab. Those didn't come out until 1972. the 220 FWA were built in 1970. Someone either put the cab on it or the FWA on a 72, but the whole rear housing is unique to FWA tractors for transfer case drive. Still a neat tractor.

| It looks like it would be a fairly good restoration canidate, it looks pretty decent from the pics online. But at $35000, it could be for sale for a while. A 220 here with cab and bigs outback just went for $7000 and there is a really good looking 210 for sale in Alberta for $4900. An extra $30000 is a lot for the 4wd, even if they are rare IMHO. I'd buy the 210 if I think I could get it past Headquarters(WIFE). Go to KIJISASKATCHEWAN and search Allis Chalmers you will find it there, Trev. |

| Trevman, I have been interested in that 210 in Alberta you mentioned, but I am having trouble finding someone to transport the tractor to Indiana. I don't know how that works....transporting equipment between U.S. and Canada with permits etc. Anybody no anything about that? |

Cross border shipping requires that you contact a customs broker, arrange the paper work with them, and make sure it is at the customs brokers office at the border when the truck arrives. You need to know the route fo the truck, and the crossing they will be using. Most truckers will advise their route, as they need the paperwork to cross as well. Papers include a bill of sale, the truckers bill of lading, etc. You may need to arrange a bond for cross border transactions, but for a 1 time deal it may not be necessary. Broker should know. Also want to make sure the machine is very clean, as everyone is worried about weeks, diseases, etc. Will likely be inspected at the boarder by the USDA rep if it appears dirty. Other than that, all you have to do is buy it !! ------------- |

I would really like to have the tractor, but the only shipping quote I have received so far was for close to $4000.00 for the 1860 mi. trip one way from Alberta, Canada to Southern, Indiana. That puts the total a little out of my reach, at this time. I try to get a couple more quotes or hope someone has a haul back. Thanks again -! |

| Gatz thats the one, as far as why it is listed as a 210, I suspect the same reason I see things listed as" Alice chambers" "Allic Chamblers" "Obsolet alliz chamlers" or "gleanr with Budda moter" when its really an M2 etc. Obviously by the pics its a 70 220 with a limited edition 72 cab somebody put on. It has 3 point hitch which is rare here for any tractor over about 60 hp so I'm guessing it came from Ontairio or the U.S. originally. Guy says he is second owner, who knows? Buyer beware. |

| No it is too far from me to check the serial. Besides ,if I go there I will want the tractor and its only about $30000 out of my budget, so I can stay home and hit myself inthe head with a ball pein, it will be alot cheaper trip...TREV. |
