I have a 38 wc and got the serial number off of it today. My manual tells me that the SN should end in a K or a G, depending on the class of fuel. I was very surprised to find the number W59094HA. Could someone tell me a little bit about this? thanks.

I read once that some had GA or PA.
Wet the area with a rag and make sure the H is really an H

Another person had this to say.

G Suffix Gas 1300 5.0:1
KA Suffix Dist(Late) 1300 4.6:1 (4.5?)

The serial number you mention is for a 1937, and would be the engine serial number.  The tractor serial number is on the rear end and will start with WC.  Bryan Smith has a good page to correlate approximate engine serial numbers with the tractor they came in.

It was good to find out what the HA stood for, I hadn't seen that on one before.
