I'm looking to see if anyone out there has a picture or a sketch of how a D17 wiring diagram should look for one with a Delco 12SI Alternator.
Not sure what more info would be needed but feel free to ask. Tractor is some distance away and my aftermarket manual isn't clear enough for me...

The alternator schematic is going to be simpler, at least I think it is. Seems like there is another forum member Duey Schutter (not sure if i spelled his name right) that has a web site with some very good schematics. If I remember correctly terminal 1 goes to the battery and terminal 2 goes to the ignition switch through a diode you can get at Radio Shack. If the regulator wires are backward, I'm pretty sure the alt reg will stay "on" and drain the battery. The battery post on the alt will go the same post as the original BATT terminal on the generator regulator did.
