Looking for correct light bulbs for headlights and rear lights. I converted from a 6 volt to 12 volt and I am not sure what to get. The old 6 volt bulbs for the headlights were GE1133. The rear light bulb was misisng. Is there a bulb I can convert to or do I need to change the sockets. |

Take one to your auto parts store and tell them you need a 12v replacement. I found 12 volt bulbs on the rack at the local auto parts place.

One on-line cross reference says a 1073 is also appropriate. The glass envelopes of the 1133 is different from the 12 volt lamps but the filament centers are the same. Gerald J. |

The 1156 works fine. That's what's in my Oliver 60 head lights. 1156 is a little more power than 1133 or 1073 and with the 12 volt current about half the 6 volt current, there's less voltage drop in the wires so there's ggod reason for greater brightness. Gerald J. |
