Hey everyone,

I know some of this stuff has been discussed before regarding other members D19 hydraulics. Mine lifts to full height, but is very slow when hooked up to an implement, and the throttle has to be set for higher rpms. It also drops down slowly over time when the control lever is in neutral position.

I tested the hydraulic pressure on my D19's 3 point today. I hooked up a hydraulic gauge in the back of the control block per the manual. Here are the results; 125 psi @ 400 rpm, 625 psi @ 800 rpm, 950 psi @ 1200 rpm, 1200 psi @ 1600 rpm, and 1300 psi at 2000 rpm. The manaul calls for 2000 psi.

In one of my previous posts, someone suggested this low pressure may be a poppet valve in the control stack. I would like to narrow this low pressure problem to either the pump or control stack before tearing into it. Is there a test port to easily access the pressure side of the pump, or should I just test from the high pressure line that goes to the control stack. I am hoping the problem lies in the stack, but I am thinking the pump may need a rebuild. I am kinda leary of the pump after seeing Capt. Danas pictures of the worn cam and cam followers on his D19. Anyway I would appreciate any advice provided. Thanks.

Brad
