Should there be any connection (i.e. same number) among the engine serial number, the serial number on the plate on the right side interior cab post and the serial number stamped into the steel plate at the pivot bracket in the hinge area.

The engine serial number went on the engine at the engine plant. The cab was made at LaPorte and got a serial number there. These parts were shipped to West Allis, a tractor was built with them and a serial number was stamped on the frame. The numbers would not match in any way.

I think all 6, 7, 8000 series cabs were built at LaPorte.

I know Crenlo in Rochester MN was building 6000 series cabs at some point. When I worked there they had a catalog in the paint area with photos of products the produced going all the back to the 70's and I remember seeing a picture of the 6000 series cab.
