C'mon up to the great white north sometime, Charlie and take any of the old iron for a run.  Quite a few 20-35's and 'A's around this area.

Here is a pic of the tank decal that was on most of the 20-35's sold new in Canada. They were imported and sold by Cockshutt Plow Company as they had no tractor of their own at the time in their line of ag equipment.

Beautiful tractor Phil! I love the big old Allis tractors right from the first 18-30's, through to the A. They are characterful and powerful tractors, with a wonderful exhaust note. I often wonder why they are so neglected by collectors (apart from the A!)
By the way, the TC head should arrive within the next 2 weeks.

Dave;  I"ve never seen one of those decals on a "U". According to Wm. Cockshutt's book they were used on the 20-35's, but no mention of them on the 'U'.  My '28 20-35 is a pre decal model and has the lettering stenciled on the back of the tank. It reads: "Mfd. for and sold by the Cockshutt Plow Company, Brantford Ontario".
I know of one other tractor with this stencil.  (It's since been sandblasted and repainted).

I have had the original decal reproduced if anyone needs one for a "Canadian" 20-35.

Going to Phil's a few years ago was great! He let me take quit a few of his pride and joy's out for a spin. Including the 20-35 above which rides like a dream. If you ever get a chance to go see him it's a great time to sit down and have a coffee and or lunch with him. My best experience travelling out west. Thanks again Phil.

Phil: If you get the chance, read, "Cockshutt, the Completre Story". It tells about the decals and the use on the U's.  Dave.
