| I could really use some help finding parts for this backhoe. The tractor is a 62 D15 Industrial and the Backhoe I'm told is a Henry Mark V. The hoe has a serious drifting problem. I took the valve cluster to a local hydraulic shop who informed me that at least one of the valves has a nasty internal crack in the housing. (the pressure adjustment did nothing). I have put a lot of time and some money into this tractor and I really do like it as it runs beautifully! I would really like to fix this problem with the Backhoe attachment if I could just find the parts. I would even resort to installing parts that werent original if it would enable me to use the hoe. Thanks for any help you can give me |

You are correct on the Henry part, but I dont know how many were made. it may come down to you installing a different valve bank, unless someone else will chime in if they have a used one ------------- Experience is a fancy name for past mistakes. | Whats the tractor number? I had d15 4694 or 4964 (dont have info handy). It was equipped with a henry Mark IV backhoe and henry L-100 front loader. Sorry cant help with parts. Did you try hydraulic shop for replacement? |

I think that the hydraulic valves and rotory swing motor are Cessna.
About 35 years ago I bought a loader control valve for my I 60 and it was a Cessna, the same as used on a MF 50 TLB and it was less than half price from MF. All rotory swing motor backhoes will drift sideways at the best of times. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

| Breeze, the number is 7311. It could be a Mrk IV, I am really not sure. the loader is a TS500. |

| Thank you Calvin. I dont have too much problem with the side to side movement but the hoe drifts down rather quickly, has no down force and very little lifting ability. |

If the valve is repaired and you still have drift, the seal on the end of the rod of the cylinder is bypassing and will need to be replaced. Any good hydraulics shop will be able to do the repair. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

Loren thanks, I hope you get it straightened out. I would think a good sized hydraulic shop would be able to hook you right up. I bought a single valve for a log splinter from harbor freight recently and they had various sizes and models.. Maybe even a dealer or two on here can get them delivered to your door. Rusty whats your mark iv mounted on? I dont know much about your seal kit but give it a day or two and let some of the gurus check in and they may be able to help you guys out. Theres a wealth of Allis and other knowledge here and I just hang on for the ride. But still, welcome to unofficial allis, "the site" to see. |

Those rotary piston swing motors take a little time to reseal, mine drifted and found a chip in the piston I had to weld and machine down. The most problem I had is the top seal where shaft comes out top casting , ended up with a leak there and I still need to replace that seal ------------- Faith isn't a jump in the dark. Same motor was used on MF hoes and on some other mfg units , it is a Cesna rotary piston.
can try MINNPAR in Mpls MN as they were AC industrial supplier. Herc-U-Lift in Mpls was dealer and they have been helpful in parts for HD4, 615 AC detatchable hoe parts, and 715B TLB parts. ------------- Faith isn't a jump in the dark. It is a walk in the light. | I have an AC backhoe with a addon hoe attchment that has the swing cylinder. I rebuilt the entire backhoe attchment two years ago and had a horrible time finding any info. So here is what I know. I finally ordered parts and repair books online from jensales at http://www.ssbtractor.com - WWW.ssbtractor.com . I had to do some searching and looking around and even ordered some books that didnt apply because I just couldnt tell by the title. My machine is a I-600 industrial backhoe on a D-17 AC tractor. My serial number is 7bn 18---. If this looks familliar with yours then the book is titled I600 Backhoe for H4&HD4 crawlers & I600 industrial. This is an excellent resource for the backhoe. For the D-17 I ordered the Service Manual I-60 & I600 Industrial book. This is also an ecellent book for service. The last book I ordered is the operators manual and parts list for Mark IV & V backhoe. This manual is very close to the I-600 backhoe but it is not an Identical match, It might however be just what you are looking for for the henry model. I purchased many of my parts on the minnpar website and a local dealer in El Paso, IL, called Dunmire Equipment Co. inc. their phone number is 1-309-527-6300. I ordered a seal kit from them and they actually had the parts books to help. The Kit cost me $300 for the swing cylinder. Fred is very helpful. I also looked on the minnpar website and the part # for the I600 swing clyinder seal kit is 2017992. I hope this helps. |

As I stated in an earlier post I also replaced all the valve body controls for the backhoe that are stacked under your feet when running the machine. My hoe also drifted bad and settled very bad. I used the service and parts manuals that I bought and(after lengthy internet searches and a number phone calls) contacted Fluid Power INC. 3755 Grand Rapids, MI 49548. I talked ith Gordon Ralph and sent him some copies of the specs in the service manuals and some of my own descriptions and some photos of my old valve bank and (after a few back and forth calls and emails) He sent me a quote for a valve bank that was nearly an excact replacement and even bolted in the same holes as my old one. His phone # 616-241-4695. If I remember right the valve body cost around $1000 to $1200 but It was totally worth it. It completely solved my problems and made the machine link new. I have my entire spec sheet and pictures of my old valve body if it would help anyone. I just need your email address as I cant seem to figure out how to download files of any size on this forum but I
will gladly send you anything that would help with your project.

| Have you had your pump apart? They are a gear pump and the wear that causes them to produce low pressure at the top end is usuallly end clearence on the gears. This is easily seen with the casing apart. If this is the case then you can either have the face resrufaced or if its not that bad then sometimes the case has shims and some shims can be removed to close up the tollerance. If the gears are wore to badly (unusual) then the pump will need to be replace. I dont know of a good place to get a pump. |

For anyone on this post looking for part number info on a AC d-15 Series II tractor, serial number 13000 and up, I have the original operator & dealer's Parts Manuals. I also have them for the Henry TS-500 Loader and the Henry Mark IV & V Backhoe.

My HD4 had the AC 615 detachable hoe as a separate unit . It mounted onto tool carrier and used a diverter valve in the hyd system, bucket control was bypassed while hoe was in use. Using the MF parts books i was able to find parts for the swing motor and at a lower price than through Minnpar (AC prices) for same items. ------------- Faith isn't a jump in the dark. I need part numbers for the main gear and bushings that turns the swing arm side to side . I think MnPar has the parts but they have archived the manuals for the Henry Backhoe mine is a model 120 SN 41g670. Possibly similar enough to a Mark V or IV. |

IF your are saying the down force on the hoe and the lifting capacity is not to par , then you need to check hyd pressure as the dipper cylinder when energised should be able to lift the machine - or be able to after lifting machine swing it side to side . also crowd cylinder should be able to pull machine backwards or push it forward If good pressure - then you have internal leakage on the cylinder piston . ------------- Faith isn't a jump in the dark.
