Just bought a new thermostat from Agco. The original had a rubber seal behind it, but the new one didn't come with a seal and it looks more like an automotive thermostat than the original. Should I get a new seal from Agco, or should I leave the seal out?

I would call them and explain that the seal was missing when you bought it, unless its built into the base.

Thanks! The link to NAPA doesn't work, but I called a local store and they were able to get one. It comes with a more conventional looking thermostat but includes the brass piece and rubber seal. NAPA can get botht the 160 and 180 degree thermostats for the WD45. AGCO said the 160 is no longer available from them.
