          | this is from the CDC--- Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a respiratory virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages. Most otherwise healthy people recover from RSV infection in 1 to 2 weeks. However, infection can be severe in some people, such as certain infants, young children, and older adults. In fact, RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia in children under 1 year of age in the United States. In addition, RSV is more often being recognized as an important cause of respiratory illness in older adults

          | Will do IG.  My first daughter, if I remember right, had that.  It's scary but in the hospital he should be ok and get better soon.  It's a terrible feeling watching them fight for every breath.
 I don't know if I'll ever stop worrying about my kids especially when they don't feel well.  Your post reminds me that just about the time I think I'll be able to stop worrying so much about mine I'll have grandkids to worry about!

          | IG - We'll pray for your grandson & your family.  We also had 2 kids at once with that problem.  Breathing treatments every few hours & arbuterohl is what my wife is speaking of from memory while she is in the kitchen as I type this.  It can be very dangerous.  Serious thing if left untreated.  GOD BLESS.  |

His oxygen level was down to 60 and his blood pressure is down now.  This is not fun stuff. My youngest daughter had RSV 18 years ago next week. | Jacob is home tonight. 24 hours without oxygen. Doctors said he is on his way to getting better. He had a few coughing spells,lastnight,but other wise is eating good and slept pretty decent last night. Thanks for all the prayers. Great to have such a big family in a time of need.  When your kids are little,you always think,when they get to a certain age you will quit worrieing. Then you worry about something else,when there older. I always thought when my kids get grown,I wont have to worry about them anymore. Well you still worry about them,and the grandkids now. Here is a picture of me and him when he was born. He is 2 months old today.

          | John, I'm glad he is home. May God continue to bless you all.
 -------------
 Think for yourself and be your own expert. Be willing to change your mind; however, willingness to change your mind doesn’t mean that you will. Blindly following any path is the pinnacle of insanity.

          | Yep, John, parenthood is a lifetime committment! You're released from duty the day you draw you're last breath! Praise God for such an outcome!

 I am still confident of this;
 I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
 Wait for the Lord;
 be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

          | sometimes I catch myself complaining about how little my kids sleep and the next night I wake up worring about them because I haven't heard a noise come from their rooms (all kinds of thoughts run through my mind). Thank God I haven't had to deal with either of my kids suffering with RSV. It's inspiring to read all the post showing support for ILGLEANER's grandson Jacob. Glad to hear things are improving! |

          | Glad to hear he is home safe and sound. My son was born on thanksgiving of last year and I couldn't imagine having to watch him be sick in a hospital. |
