          | What is that huge plow? Never seen one so big and never seen a WC/A or an A/WC. I think it was an A.

          | Joe, Thanks for posting the pictures. I have heard this is always a good show and the pictures show it.
Ron, I will be visiting my sister in Naples that week and will drive up to the GOTO on Friday & Saturday, so maybe I will see you there. Any of you other fellas going to be there?

          | See if I got this right but I think the John Chalmers and the Allis Deere were created because the two, I think brothers, owned tractor dealerships one an AC and the other a JD. It is definitely unique.

          | Lonn; one use was plowing ground that had a significant overburden of sand as a result of flooding.  Intent was getting the origional topsoil back on top of the sand.  This was tried in Manhattan, KS (riverbottom areas) after the 1951 flood.  Driving by I saw the plow setting there and the results; did not see the tractor(s) they used. I would imagine the operator had to continuously adjust the plow depth to accomodate the varying depth of sand overburden.  At the time I questioned the effectiveness of this project; but never did seriously pursue.  Opinion is this was a very secondary use for this big plow.Herb |

          | Dahh! I get it now. So I would imagine there are at least 2 different opinions as to which half is wrong and which half is right and only ours counts.

          | As far as I know (this is what I'm told) the other brother is the guy that had our local deere dealership before he retired. I thought it could be different one but it looks the same one that's been at our show. Both of them have been at our show at the same time. There's half right and half wrong. does the name grieb ring a bell? |
