Since I've been asking a lot of 6000 questions, I thought I'd relate something I learned about them. The 6060 I bought about three years ago had very good brakes, but about a month after i bought it, the "Low brake oil" light came on. I checked the fluid, and it was low, so I topped it off with 10w non-detergent oil per the manual. About a month later, it was low again, so I topped it off again. About a month later the light came back on, and now I was convinced the seals were bad, and I was out of 10w oil. I considered adding universal hydraulic fluid, but thought it might be too thick. Then I spotted some power steering fluid with stop-leak. It was about the right weight, and I figured if the seals were going bad, it wouldn't make them any worse. To make a long story short, I topped the fluid off with the P.S fluid about three times ,and it has not leaked down since (about two years). I'm not recommending this, since it's not in the operator's manual, just my experience.
