GOOD AFTERNOON YA'LL.
I CURRENTLY HAVE A 1961 D17 WITH A BUSTED NOT WORTH REPAIRING G226. I ALSO HAVE THREE F2 GLEANERS WITH 433T ENGINES IN THEM. I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YA'LL HAVE EVER STUCK A 433T INPLACE OF A GAS BURNER IN A D17? IF SO HOW MUCH TROUBLE WAS IT TO SWITCH OUT, AND HOW MANY MODIFICATIONS DID YOU HAVE TO DO TO MAKE IT WORK. ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY PICTURES I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED. I DO NOT WANT TO PUT THIS TRACTOR BACK IN THE PASTURE, IT HAS TOO MANY MEMORIES.

I HAVE ONE THAT CAME OFF A FIRE DAMAGE DEAL, AND ENGINE IS NOT STUCK. THE OTHER ONE IS A COMBINE THAT IS STUCK FROM A BLOWED HEAD GASKET, AND THE ORIGINIAL OWNER LETTING THE UNIT SIT. THE OTHER TWO ARE ACTUALLY ON FUNCTIONING MACHINES. YA'LL KNOW I AM IN VIRGINIA. DONT GET ME WRONG WHAT ARE THOSE ENGINES SELLING FOR?

I WILL ALSO THROW THIS OUT THERE. THE ENGINES IN THE TWO RUNNING MACHINES HAVE ANY WHERE FROM 1,500 TO 2,000 ON THE ENGINES, AND THE HOUR METERS STILL FUNCTION.

If they start and run, they are worth quite a bit more in my estimation. These engines are 40 years old and the injection pumps oft times need $1,000 bucks spent on them to make them even run. I had one that the turbocharger was stuck and wouldn't turn. That would nix the deal for me as that would be an XXXpensive part.

YEAH I HAVE TWO COMPLETE RUNNING UNITS THAT RUN GREAT, AND DO NOT SMOKE NOT UNLESS UNDER A LOAD. NO WET EXHAUST MANIFOLDS FROM LEAKING INJECTORS. THEY ARE SWWET RUNNING ENGINES.
