Did AC build all the speed patrol or was it like the crawler loaders that Tracomotive built the loader part. So was a second company involved?

Short answer is no.  AC bought out Ryan in 1931, sometime before that, Ryan had bought Edwards. The speed patrol didn't arrive on the scene til 1938...Wink

A-C did build the  WC based Speed Patrol. The ones built prior to 1942 with the two piece frame were built in LaPorte. After the war the Speed Patrols were built in Springfield
