I've been working on changing brake shoes on my D 14 this winter. When I took the support plate off. The actuator lever and cam fell off before I could see how they were installed. The pictures are showing the right rear side. Ive found that the way I'm holding them, is the only way I can make them work. Once I got the the new shoes, springs, etc put on. I can make the brakes work fine with the actuating lever. My problem comes trying to put the axle housing on. It was almost impossible to get the brakes into the brake drum, and make the four bolts up. Then when I did, I found the brake lever won't move. Then got the other tire in the air, and can't turn the right side axle. Brakes are locking it all up. I've found someone has changed the brakes before. Maybe parts from the left side were put on the right side. Does anyone know what's going on.

Tim, this is a picture of mine before I disassembled it just after I sprayed brake clean to remove all the oil. I thought I took other photos as I disassembled it but I apparently did not. Look at the parts breakdown Jay posted, I believe the orientation is correct.

Flip the actuation lever over? Wish I was there with ya, it would jog my memory. I recall it went back together well, including the drop housing, the bolts lined right up.
