D10-12-14-15 all have curved shift levers.  D17-19 have straight shift levers.  D14-15-17-19 have a hand clutch lever with Low (to the rear) and High( all the way forward) speeds and neutral in the middle.

Guy down the road has one for sale, says it is a 1972 D-14, has the lights on the fender, I did not think they make the 14 after the 50's.  So just wondering what he has before I go look at it.

Headlights on the fenders can be grafted there from the radiator area. 1972 the D-15 wasn't made anymore. 1960 was the last year for a D-14. The last of the D-15's were series 2 models and had a dry type air cleaner, oval muffler and yes, headlites on the fenders and 1968 or 69 was the end I think.

You should be able to easily determine the model and year by the serial number.

D15 were built from 1960-1968. Series II started in 1963, that’s when the headlights were moved to the fenders and the oval muffler was added. Also went to 160 CI and a paper air cleaner. Good tractor, dads 1968 continues to work on our farm. Mostly with a 3 point NH sickle mower on its back.

Easy way to differentiate between a D-14 and D-15 is the Power Director.

Original 'from the Factory', D-15's have the 'thumb guard' at the top of the Power Director Lever.

D-14's did not have a thumb guard.
