I tried some of the AGCO Perisan Orange 1 paint. It was much darker than the original. Looked closer to PO #2. I didn't use it on the project.

Did you find a close match for PO #1 that you used instead? I was given a partial quart of agco cream paint that I thought looked wrong for my project and used rustoleum almond with hardener instead.

Keep us posted with the paint brand and code that satisfies you and your project if you don’t mind. I’ve seen wd45’s and early D17’s painted everything from a darkish pumpkin orange to a very reddish orange that looks like po#2, and still haven’t seen a great match to what i think the original persian orange would have looked like. I’m a ways off from painting my ‘57 D17D but will be searching for the best paint to use when the time comes. As far as the agco cream i commented on earlier, it was way too “Beige” for my liking, even the agco spray cans from 20-plus years ago looked like legitimate cream color, so i was surprised. Did they change paint vendors in the last few years?
