I am looking for a new seat for my D12.  I am seeing 2 different price point.  One is around $125 while others are around $500. Is there a $375 improvement on the higher priced one?

Probably the quality and overall how close is it to the original back in the 60's. Some have plywood cushion bottoms. OEM were steel. Plywood is cheaper.

The deluxe seats look pretty good. They lack the stiffener around the trapezoid cutout on back. The pivot plate is fabricated and not die struck. Some cushions are plywood backed, some are steel. Steel cost more. HTH, Tracy
