    Hello,
I am going to install a straw chopper on a F2 and get rid of the 2 belt system currently on the machine. It's a short back model and I am having a little bit of trouble finding the right chopper belt. Does anyone know the correct part number for the belt?

Is there anything else I should do to the machine after installing the straw chopper? It's an older machine but everything else looks just like my other F2 and somewhat like my F3. I am going to change the cylinder bars to the high performance bars and was wondering if there are any other improvements that could be done.

Thanks for any thoughts,

71136325 is chopper belt for 1977 F2 shortback sn 36201-39200.

Speed up F2’s clean grain belly auger/grain tank elevator to accommodate aggressive cylinder bars increased threshing capacities. Could remove combine's right rear "Idler-Lower Chain" double sprocket (original 71147857 1977 F2). Once removed, use a grinder/torch to remove idler's outer sprocket (driver for clean grain auger/elevator) & weld on a larger diameter sprocket to increase clean grain auger/elevator driven speed by 200-300 rpms??
Or maybe call your AGCO parts person & inquire for availability of their "Idler -Lower Chain" 71151725 sprocket assy (Elev. speed up kit). Good luck as it may be NA? Anyway this kit part # is listed for the long back F2 (39201&up) in the 1978 parts book. To my knowledge, it was not listed for the short back 77' F2 parts book?  If your AGCO parts person can locate one, I think it is a suitable replacement & correct fitment between F2 years?? AGCO online parts book does not show availability for 71151725, but does show availability for a 71151724 @ $143.64. Guessing that might be a sub for 71151725, but not sure?? Best to call your AGCO parts person & inquire.

My 78 F2 has that speedup sprocket on it. The elevator is a humming in corn! I made a large elevator drive sprocket to slow down clean grain in beans.
