Hi all. Just a quick question. I would like some stands to remove my loader off of my 190xt. I don't think the loaders came with them. At least I haven't come across any. If in fact someone has a set? Would there be any specs a guy could get to build a set? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

The following is from the manual for the loader on my D-17.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 500 SERIES HYDROLIC FARM LOADERS For D-17, D17 IV & D-19 Tractors. Publication Form TM-380A (564152) Page 10 Fig. 2 shows a stand for the support of the boom.
Use a hoist to hold boom in position or use a stand which is available as an Attachment.

The 500 loaders are not quick detach by any means.

That is an understatement.

Just for fun, I contacted Westendorf for a quote on a quick detach loader to replace the 500 loader on my D17IV, since it is no fun removing/replacing it, especially alone. It came in at $15,915.81. So, looks like I'll continue to play games with a hoist to remove it.

We made a set of stands for our 500 loader out of inch and a quarter pipe, they're about 6 ft tall. Remove the pins from the back of the loader frame use the raise cylinders to put the stands in place then take the pins out of the top of the raise cylinder back the tractor out and stand the cylinders up in the loader frame. Doesn't take too long to remove the loader itself. I snapped a picture of it but I haven't figured out how to get a picture from my phone on here like I do on the computer. Leon B

I've seen some broken angle irons at the 500's towers down low. But, I have never seen a tractor broken in half from a 500 loader.

Thanks for the info all. I have all the pins loose. So, that won't be an issue. The stands for our JD 4020 w/46A loader won't work. I would guess the Allis loader wouldn't be any more difficult to remove than that one is because they are similar in design. I just thought if I could see what the Model 500 would have used? I could build something similar. I do like the link that Jerseyfarmer listed. Thanks
