For anyone that has original AC sales brochures, have you ever wondered what "Litho in U.S.A." printed on their lower back corner refers to?
Here is an AI weblink that conjured up some interesting reading & info about it.
Many of the 1950s 60s 70s 80s AC sales brochures say "Printed in U.S.A." on their back lower right corners. A few during 1971, 1972, etc say "Litho in U.S.A."

I believe it is short for lithograph, or lithographed.

Basically, a form of high speed printing.

Yes, litho is short for colour lithography, basically full colour printing using four inks which are “half toned” so that photos and graphics can be reproduced. Prior to litho printing they would have used letterpress or other printing methods which were slower and more restrictive in terms of how images were printed, although text was always more straightforward.
