It's been a million years since I've had to even think of this but here I am. Back in another life when I did diesel truck work, Ford had a coolant additive to prevent "micro bubbles" from basically acting like a ultrasonic cleaner and eroding piston liners (as I recall)

Anyhow, I've come into possession of a few diesels (one being a 5045) and all of the coolant tests at about 0*f for the freeze point across all the machines.

So the question is, is this additive even a "thing" anymore or is any old green coolant ok to run? Not really sure which way to go but want to get whatever is needed to do it right.

Thanks!
