Hi all,  I had an arm break on my grader.  I'm wondering if anyone has a parts machine?  It's the arm that attaches to the gear box that lowers one side of blade.  I caught a big rock just under the surface and it broke in half at both keyway's.  Here's a picture of part.

It looks to be all cast so I don't think a weld/strap would stand a chance.
Thanks for any help.

Thomas

Cast iron would be brittle and break... It MIGHT be cast steel... and could be welded, if you dont find a replacement..

Sandblast - Wire brush till clean and wash with soap/ water.. or gasoline...i would bevel the crack on the OUTSIDE so it goes to a thin lip or edge on the ID... clamp it around a brass or aluminum tube so it is ROUND and right size.. or you can finish grind the inside with a die grinder later if you dont have a tube.... Preheat it with a propane or gas torch IN THE WELD AREA  up to 200 degrees or better.. The preheat is good and it will drive off any oil or residue... I always use 7018 stick rod on DC when i weld cast steel... Your milage may vary.
