Looked at the Dealers post that was started in 2010. Lot of names we don't see anymore.
What happened to them?

Three possible things:   #1. Some have lost their AGCO contract but are still open for business receiving repair parts from a current AGCO dealer who may give them some sort of price discount. #2.  Some are still open for business but may now represent Kubota or another company allowing them to continue to make a living and serve their faithful customers.  #3. Some may have decided to liquidate and shut her down. Some may have been (or near) retirement age anyway.

Most of us are old farts. As a Ausy friend from the internet puts it "we keep falling of the perch".

I understand some think Facebook groups for things like AC are more active so are better.
Wacko The way facebook organizes things is a huge turn off to me. Or should I say disorganizes things. It also seems everybody thinks they should act like an expert no matter how little they really know.

I too wonder about the future of this website. This was “ the “ place back then.

I have been posting here 30 years. Lots have come and gone.

I’m not that old and I don’t even have a fakebook account…
I’d rather be on this site…

What does it take to hold an AGCO contract? Seems to be quite an adventure, Bocktings years ago said it cost $1500 a month just for the computer stuff for parts,,

Having a local dealer to get parts is what sells equipment. If Agco lowered that subscription price and opened a few other rules I expect they have, they could have hundreds of outlets and boost their brand penetration.

I'm pretty certain JD remained strong due to local dealers (parts and repair), which of course they are messing up with fighting Right To Repair.

Imagine if the neighbor down the road was a mini dealer and kept misc common parts or the way to get parts to you in four hours? Like someone dropping by and buying a bale of straw.

The mini dealers would have no overhead.
