My buddy has a “Fun Farm” in the corner of his farm where he has events for children in the fall. Hay rides, games of all types, and a pumpkin to take home. So he started planting pumpkins a few years ago instead of buying them. Old way of planting involved a rod shoved into the ground, place the seed by hand and cover it with dirt. Last year he purchased an AC sod planter that was no longer in working condition. Removed the planter and fertilizer box and added a tube and funnel to place a seed one by one. Added 2 seats, and a small bucket to store the seed in. Cheap way to do it but it works. Using the no-till AC platform works well. My first opportunity riding it and placing seed in the funnel. Although a primitive way of doing it, the results have been successful. Thought I would share a few pictures.

If he wants something faster and less labor I have a 2 Cole planters mounted on a 3pt tool bar with double boxes so two things can be planted at once.Pumpkin plants are in one side, corn plates in the other. Can plant either seed or both at the same time.Plus I have a huge variety of cole plates to plant about anything

Love it. Would be fun to ride and drop seeds. Neat effort for the kids (of all ages!!!).
