Does the cank have to come out to replace gear?  Oil pump bolts backed out and gear is worn down...

With the camshaft removed and the idler gear removed, there may be a way to get a bearing splitter around the crank gear with proper pulling equipment. Get it under pressure and quickly heat the gear (staying away from the crank as much as possible) and using an impact wrench to quickly pull it off while it is hot.  This can't be done half-arssed. You will have to have good equipment and be set-up to pull it quickly. This is certainly NOT a normal occurrence.

leave it to me to do something thats unusual..   I bet getting a new gear pressed on while in the engine would be somewhat of a feat as well.  I see agco still has a price beside the gear on partsbooks!  I'll call tomorrow and see if they can actually get one.  I may end up pulling engine, and lay it on its side.  Then pull the crank out.

In all these decades I have never had an oil pump work the mounting bolts loose. Replacing a crank gear is just something that never happens.

Shouldn’t be. Heat the gear and freeze the crank as much as possible. Should go right on.

Drop the gear into a deep vat fryer for an hour and quickly grab it with a channel locks and have a prepared piece of pipe as a driver and pound it on. It will not go hard but you have to be fully prepared. I would consider removing the front main cap and the upper bearing shell to keep them away from the heat.
