In a chump move by MLB Commissioner, Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson, and several other Chicago Black Sox have been reinstated and are now eligible for the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is to remember those that were the best. But when the rules are so flagrantly violated by Rose, I see no reason to do anything that make him feel good. So a bad situation has been closed by compromise. So both side can be unhappy. Now back to ignoring sports for the most part. |

I liked his aggressive style when he was active. Him, and Johnny Bench were very strong in the Red's camp. I was a Cardinal's fan in those days growing up in St. Louis, but no longer pay attention to any professional sports.

I can't agree with he cheated. He bet against his team in a series that he was fairly certain his team couldn't win. He did this while being a player/manager and, if I remember correctly, hit over .300 in that series with stolen bases and no errors.
