we have a 1963 Allis Chalmers bd-3 road grader need a rear axle when we got it was broke any help would be great thank you

Wasn't a BD3 just a BD4 with one less cylinder. I've driven both but that was over 45 yrs ago.

bd3 was 3-71 detroit.  bd4 was 4-71

What followed it in the Allis model line up?

Question asked because this came out in Listo's thread on his grader problem -

The first about 700 AC Forty Fives had straight cut gears in their transmissions.  Which looks like where Allis used up the parts from the AD series.

So, if there was a successor there might be an axle there?

A 1963 BD-3… finding that rear axle might be like hunting Bigfoot, but with more grease and busted knuckles
