I have a 180 gas tractor with the 265cu gas engine and I have a gleaner F with the 301 non turbo diesel in it. What parts do I need to put the 301 diesel in my 180 gas tractor??

Use the tractor flywheel but transfer over the combine ring gear to it. Use the tractor oil pan and probably oil pump too.  You'll need a diesel tractor front cover and front engine plate, which requires pulling the camshaft to swap. There's more than one front plate when it comes to the injection pump mounting area, so get the right one. You'll also need the air tube from the air cleaner to intake manifold and turn the air cleaner around the other way. I think the gas water pump will also need to be transferred to the diesel.

As Doc sez make sure you have all the right parts first. I will be a good swap. There are two different oiling systems on the 301's  only the first ones had the bayonet type cam driven oil pump. The late ones have the crank driven oil pump - this can be seen by  a noticeable bubble down in the pan on the crank shaft or front end. We have done a bunch of swaps and use the deep pan - by cutting off the pivot  bushing and raising it  up the length of the bolt holes in the back mount bracket and adding a plate to the top and drill holes to move the back support down to clear the axle. This might not crank as well in cold weather but the fuel savings will be real. Plus there are not many parts to support the G265 should a failure occur.

Can't help with the swap, but if you end up completing it and want to sell the 265 gasser I'd be interested. My 180 gasser is one of my favourite units: Smooth, lots of torque (for a gas), quiet, starts in all weather, and purrs like a kitten. A great baling and snowblowing tractor.

I debated the same diesel swap as you when I first got the 180, but for the 60 or so hours a year I use it, the fuel savings of the diesel wouldn't outweigh the simplicity and ease of starting that the gasser has. A spare/parts engine would be good to have around.
