Did AC ever use Heniker cabs??   I thought I had some pictures of a couple tractors (can't remember which model) with Heniker cabs from past shows but don't have access to my photos from here.  Bought one (1/16th) at the toy show but now don't see anything mentioned in Norm's book.   tks,   Armand

Are 180 has a Hiniker cab but we bought the tractor used so I do not know if it was on when sold new or not.

As far as I know, a stolper cab on a one-ninety was the only one AC ever put on as factory installed cab. I'm sure dealers each had their favorites that they field installed such as the Hiniker, cozy cabs, excel, and probably more.  After the one-ninety, AC made their own cabs, starting with the 200. I really felt that AC should have put TWO doors in their cabs... But then it became the industries norm to only have one door access.  Hate having to walk all the way around to monkey with something on the right side of the equipment.

 That Hiniker cab looks good.

AC put aftermarket cabs on the 6000 series early on as the 8000 series cab was not ready for production at that time. Not sure of the manufacturer, but I thing they were Year-A-Round models

Darrel's exactly right about the AC factory cabs.  During the 70's, on One-Ninety's, we used to mount (as a dealer installed option) aftermarket cabs from Year-A-Round, Excel, Hiniker, and Cozy.  As I recall, the vast majority Dad sold were Year-A-Round in our area.

Thanks for all the info guiys!!!   You all are a wealth of knowledge!!   I think I will plan to put this cab on a 190.  I see that the casting has an insert between the front windows so I suppose Scale Models, or whoever could change that insert depending on the tractor.  So I will have to build an insert to fit the 190.  The cab is red so it will need to be masked to save the cream and black around the windows.   Should be a challenge!!     Armand

My one-ninety XT has the factory installed Stolper, and I don't like it nearly as well as the excel cab on my one-ninety gas. My neighbor has a one-ninety XT with a cozy cab on it, and I like it better than my excel. The Hiniker does look pretty descent as well. The thing I don't like about the Stolper is the door being split, and the bottom half opening to the inside, and the top half opening to the outside. What I like about my neighbor's cozy cab, is that the door hinges are on the back side of the door. On my excel, they are on the front side, and I don't like that as well. Just my 2 cents worth,  Darrel

Hiniker makes a nice cab, comparable to a Year-A-Round.
